Sacred Heart is a smaller than average primary school situated in the heart of Northallerton, just off Broomfield Avenue.
The school is a short walk from Sacred Heart Church, with who we have strong links. As the only faith school in the area, Sacred Heart serves the whole community, welcoming children of all faiths and none.
We have mixed aged classes e.g. Year 1 and Year 2 together, which allows children to learn across a developmental phase. Each year we admit 15 children into our Reception class.
We have our own nursery, integrated into our Early Years class, providing our youngest children with the highest standards of care and teaching, rooted firmly in the Gospel values.
We provide wraparound care, on site, from 8am until 5.30pm, with our competitively priced breakfast and afterschool club led by our own staff.
We are proud to be part of the Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust.
At Sacred Heart, our curriculum offer is broad and challenging, engaging all pupils in purposeful and relevant learning. It is enhanced by Forest School and outdoor learning which allows pupils to apply their class based learning and grow in confidence, stamina and resilience.
Prospective parents and carers are welcome to visit: just get in touch with the school office and we will be pleased to welcome you.
