School Uniform Requirements

School uniform can now be purchased on-line at https://studentuniform.co.uk/shrcp125/

or from many supermarkets or chain stores.

It is important that all clothing and bags are clearly named.

Year 1-6 School uniform

  • Burgundy jumper or cardigan (logo optional)
  • White short or long sleeved cotton shirt
  • Tie – Reception onwards (with house colour stripe)
  • Grey trousers, skirt or pinafore dress
  • Grey or black tights
  • Grey or black socks
  • Black school shoes or plain black trainers (NO coloured trainers or boots except PE days if preferred)
  • Appropriate bag for books/essentials

 

Y1-6 In summer (from Easter to the end of the Summer term optional wear):

As above or

  • Summer dress: blue gingham
  • Grey shorts
  • White polo shirts (ties optional)
  • Grey, white or black ankle socks with dresses
  • Grey socks with shorts

NB. Trousers and shorts worn in school for uniform must be appropriate uniform style material and ‘cut’, not sportswear or fashion styles.

The school strongly discourages the wearing of expensive clothing items as the school cannot take responsibility for loss or damage of items of clothing.

Y1-6 PE kit: (Y1-6)
We ask that children come to school dressed in their P.E kits on the days that they do P.E.

  • Plain round neck house colour school T-shirt (blue/red/purple/green – school will inform you of this colour if necessary)
  • Burgundy zip up hoodie (logo optional)
  • Plain black PE shorts or plain black tracksuit bottoms;
  • Plimsolls (indoor) and/or trainers.

 

Jewellery

Schools have a duty of care to ensure students are able to participate actively without unnecessarily endangering themselves or those working around them. On health and safety grounds we do not allow children to wear any jewellery (inclusive of earrings/bracelets/necklaces etc) in our school.

 

 

 

Nursery and Reception Uniform 

From September 2024, all children will wear school uniform.

 

School would encourage Nursery and Reception children to wear school uniform appropriate to their curriculum coverage.

  • Burgundy zip up hoodie (logo optional) 
  • Blue or white polo shirt (no tie necessary / blue preferred in line with regular outdoor play)
  • Plain grey/black tracksuit bottoms, leggings or shorts
  • Grey/black or white socks
  • Trainers: black plain black trainers preferred
    NB There are no formal PE days in Class 1 as children access Physical development activities each day

If a formal uniform is preferred by parents, children can wear uniform in line with Y1-6 expectations.
